The Lady Health Visitor (LHV) program is a 2-year diploma-level program designed exclusively for female students. It prepares graduates to deliver primary healthcare services, particularly focused on maternal and child health, family planning, and community-based health promotion.

The program is approved by the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) and recognized under the Lady Health Visitor NEBP (National EHSAAS Bisp Program) framework, making LHV graduates eligible for government deployment and national healthcare initiatives.

Program Structure

  • Year 1: Anatomy & Physiology, Health Sciences, Maternal Health Fundamentals, Nutrition, Hygiene & Sanitation, Community Health Basics
  • Year 2: Midwifery & Obstetrics, Child Health & Immunization, Family Planning, Community Field Placement, Clinical Practicals

Eligibility Criteria

  • Passed Matriculation (SSC) with Science subjects
  • Minimum 45% marks in Matric
  • Female applicants only (as per PNC guidelines)
  • Age between 16 to 30 years at time of admission
  • Medical fitness certificate required
  • Pakistani national with valid CNIC or B-Form

Career Pathways

  • Lady Health Visitor in government hospitals and rural health centers
  • Deployment under national NEBP healthcare programs
  • Maternal and child health worker in NGOs and welfare organizations
  • Community health educator and family planning worker
  • Further studies: upgrade to Post-RN BSN with qualifying criteria
